My name is Dave Finnerty. I was born in Huntington, NY and live in Lake Grove Long Island with my wife Jan. We have two children and two grand kids.

I started painting oils in the navy and went on to acrylics, portraits , landscapes and seascapes. In the 80s I took a course in watercolors and have been there ever since.

I am an Electronics Engineering graduate from Hofstra University and worked as a Electronic Systems Engineer at Grumman Aerospace Engineering Corp. with a specialty in digital computers. I retired as a director of engineering in 1994.

In 2007-8 I gave a two semester course of "Sketching Faces and Caricatures" for the "Round Table" (a senor learning group) at Stony Brook U. in N.Y.

My paintings hang from New Hampshire to Calif., and I hope that they will soon hang on your walls!
